Here I was rabbiting on about my Weather Vane and I'd forgotten that I haven't shown it to you.
I have now scrapped my photo's of it !! My son put it up on the house while he was visiting me, isn't she just super ? !!
While my son was visiting me for 3 weeks, we heard some screeching from the new front garden, when we went to look, there was Mum, Dad and child Rainbow Lorikeet on our front lawn, my son quickly ran inside and got some slices of bread.
In no time at all he had Mum and the child literally eating out of his hand !!
I handed him the camera, and he fed them with one hand and photographed them with the other !!
How amazing is that for these wild birds, I know they can be trained to do this, but this is the first time our visitors have ever come down out of the trees at my house !!
They are here all the time now, every day on the front lawn, they have even brought their friends with them, but I don't encourage them further, because they might find a person who is not as humane as we are !!
Do you think they might have come down onto the lawn because of my flying witch weather vane ? !! Is it possible she has brought them in ? !!
!!! I Wonder !!!
Here is my friend and I after 43 years. That's how long it has been since we last saw each other (actually probably a little bit longer !) I have been registered with Friends Reunited for years, but this year they relaxed their rules, and my dear friend found me after all this time. We were but very young women when we last were face to face, now we have lived our lives, and we both are Grandparents, and have a lifetime of experiences to catch up on. My friend is into Genealogy (I used to be) and I am, as you know, into my scrapbooking, but really, the two things go hand in hand, we want to leave a legacy for our ancestors. After all these years we still have so much in common, it is really uncanny !!
Zach went beach fishing with his Dad and some of Daddy's mates, the men got a wet tail and no fish, but Zach caught the only fish of the night. Am I proud ? Noooooooooo !!!!!! not me !!!! LOL
It isn't very often I get to scrap little girls, I made these lovely ballerina papers as a freebie, but luckily for me, I also had photo's of a little ballerina to scrap with my own papers !!
My Babies only see each other twice a year, because they live so far apart, this occasion is one time they did get together !!
I have a New Garden !!! the front of my house doesn't really have a garden (well ! DIDN'T) but it sure does now !!
It has taken the family over a month to build this garden, and it isn't really finished yet, but what an improvement to my front yard, I am over the moon !! I couldn't be happier with it !
I have waited over 33 years to get a garden bed in my front yard, and boy !!! was it worth the wait, because now it is fabulous, it is high so these old bones can plant without bending !!
It is just perfect !! So thank you to the Builders, without which, it never would have eventuated !!
