Zach and Caprice love to play after school, they don't get to do it very often, but when they do they sure have fun, laughing and giggling and chasing each other around. It is wonderful for me to hear them happy together, so I run for the camera to capture the moments !

Centennary Park
Our local Council opened a new park for the children to play in, it is HUGE, so naturally we took Zach and his mate to play, to see if it was any good. They had a ball, it was a coincidence that both boys wore similar shirts, but it made my photographs look just that much better don't you think ?

Kookaburra
Still the birds keep arriving into my "New Garden" this time it was a pair of Kookaburras. They were sitting on my front fence and when I didn't come out to feed them, one of them took the initiative and was banging on my front window !!
When we pulled the curtains back to take his photo, he was not fazed by the fact we were just on the other side of the glass at all. Zach is on school holidays so he took both of these photo's.

A Peacock and Wombat
This day we took Zach to our local privately owned zoo "Simbio", and these are two of the best, out of hundreds of photo's that we took that day. The Peacock was showing off to all the ladies (hens), and the Wombat was sunning himself in the warm summer sun, We had a great day, and Zach was amazed with all the animals there. Being a Leo he seems to be drawn to animals of all kinds !!

50th Birthday Celebrations
My how times flies !!! Seems like yesterday we had this party for my 50th. Yvette organised a surprise party for me, and I think I spent the night walking around in a daze, it really was a shock, I had no idea at all !
We had a wonderful night, and I received some absolutely fantastic gifts, I will never forget this party, it was the best one that I ever had in my whole life. My daughter is definitely one in a million !!!

Daughter
I'm still experimenting with my new lens, it has various filter that go with it, this was one result that I really like, it seems to be blurry but in fact it is supposed to turn out like this, it is a special soft filter lens. Now that I have gone digital, I know that I can do these things with PSE but I miss using my old SLR.

Ivan
We went to our friend Sammi's house for a barbecue, after lunch we went for a stroll though the grounds of Sammi's huge property on the outskirts of Sydney. He had a wonderful little valley with a creek running through it and he also had this lovely horse that his daughter rode. The horse was extremely friendly, and Ivan struck up a pose with him !!

Lighthouse
Lighthouses always remind me of olden times, with sailing ships and shipwrecks and a solitary way of life for the lighthouse keepers, not so today though, modern improvements have made all our lives so much better !! Thank Goodness !!!

Daisies
Daisies in my back garden. I had just bought a new lens for my (now old) Pentax SLR camera, and was experimenting with it, I was lucky enough to catch a bee on the daisy, and was very impressed with myself at the time. These old photo's that I am scrapping were all taken in 1995 !!

Another Bird Another Time
This day we were taking a ride on a boat around Forster on the North Coast of NSW. A bird came swooping in, I think that he thought we were a fishing boat and if he stayed with us he would get something to eat. He stayed with us for about 10 minutes, and I couldn't help but take lots of photo's of him.

More Visitors
The day before the Rainbow Lorikeets came into my garden, my son had these Sulphur Crested Cockatoos in the garden as well, these guys can almost be a pest, and the neighbours get angry when we encourage them to come. They sit on my front fence and break the bulbs on my fairy lights, smashing them with their strong beaks. If you happen to have timber anywhere (like I have on my screen above the new garden bed), they will chew it until it is all broken and gone. The trouble is I just love these guys, and they only seem to come down into the garden when they are hungry, which isn't all that often, probably about twice a year, so I feed them and to hell with the neighbours !! lol

Cats
As I said before I was going through an old photo album and came across some photo's, very dear to my heart, of old friends. This Layout is of our cats, they are long gone now but definitely not forgotten !!
The Black one (Ebony) had a coat like mink, he was so delightful to cuddle, and so even tempered, he never ever scratched anyone.
The Grey and White one (PuddyRat) was a very regal part Persian cat, he was very superior to Ebony but they did love each other very much, when Puddy died, Ebony cried for days, looking for his mate !
Sometimes Puddy though he was a dog, when he was a teenager, he used to go over the fence and steal the dog next doors' bone and bring it back home. I always wondered how he could jump the fence with a bone in his mouth, but he did !! I saw it one day !!

My Dearest Daughter
I was going through my old photo albums, and came across these lovely photos of my daughter before she became a mother, she hasn't changed very much in all these years, in fact she still looks the same to me !!
It has been a delight to spend the day scrapping these pictures and getting nostalgic !!

Things You Find !!!!!!!!!
What a surprise to go out into the backyard and find a frog has set up residence in your swimming pool !!
He was having a wonderful time diving to the bottom of the pool, then coming up again, sitting on the stairs and having a bask in the sun.
I think he thought he was on holidays at the local resort !! We had to get him out of the pool for his own safety, we were unsure if the chlorinated water might not be good for his health. He wasn't happy about coming out, but we eventually got him out without hurting him and he hopped away, maybe into the resort pool next door, who knows !
