I celebrated my 64th Birthday while in hospital recovering from my surgery, the family brought in lots of cupcakes, instead of one big birthday cake and we had a lovely time eating them lol
These photographs show my room mate, Sister Shaz and Zach and of course the Birthday girl (me !!!)
Yvette and Zach were comparing their ear shapes, it is hard to tell one from the other, except that Mummy had heaps of earrings in hers, if it wasn't for them, I believe we couldn't tell who was who ! I think if they took a photo of my ears also, it would be hard to tell between the three of us. Obviously ears run in our family .....what was that you say.....can't (h)ear you lol !!

Created with Sue's freebie kit "Nellies Place", from her blog

Yvette was having a "do" at work and decided to make this Flapper headdress. Zach had to try it on for size,as most curious children would, he does look cute doesn't he lol !!
We went down the coast to Lake Tabourie and discovered this wonderful lighthouse on the way, Zach made this cute pose for us. I think he was pretending to be a pirate on shore for supplies ? !!
Zach has returned to playing soccer again at long last, and he is playing really well after about two years off, due to the terrible tragedy he had with his teeth at school (that is another story, yet to be told).
We are so proud of him, that he has been able to pick up where he left off totally unscathed.
My dear little blue eyed boy.... what else can I say.... you all know how much I adore this little guy. He is home on school holidays with me at the moment, and he is a joy to be with, I just wish that I was able to drive the car so that we could go exploring, but that will come in time (if he can wait for me.) I am working on my walking, 3 times a week, and hope to be strong enough soon to get back behind the wheel...can't wait ...!!!
I had these photos in frames on my dressing table, but decided it was time to scan them and put them "out there" for posterity. Mum and her beloved sister Ettie, I miss them both so much, it still hurts !!

These are two of my Facebook Friends (Duckie in the yellow top), I lifted the photos from their album page, but they were very happy with the results of my labours.

Our home through the eyes of google maps, what a great view the wide angled lens reveals...might have to get me one of those ? !!!!!!
This layout was also created using a kit from
Numbbumm.blogspot.com, click on the link to check out Sue's wonderful Freebie site !!
Tom and Jess don't get to the beach very often ..... but when they do..... they certainly make the most of it !!!
Liz and the children look to be having a cuddly time in the pool, there seems to be a lot of love floating around in this layout.

I have only just rediscovered these photographs taken by Yvette with her mobile phone camera. They are such good quality for a phone camera that I just had to make a LO with them !!
What a lovely show of affection this Dad has for his son, which is a refreshing change from the typical Aussie Dad.

And another lovely LO made possible by the fantastic work of Sue from
Numbbumm.blogspot.com, also a freebie, so click the link and get yours NOW !!!
A pair of very happy parents that belong to Zach's new soccer team, what a great picnic day, the parents had fun and the children had fun. It was held in Centenary Park, one of our favourite places to go for a good time.
Mother's Day was coming and I had to take a few photo's of Zach for a special project (I had a notebook made for Yvette with Zach's photo on the cover) these photo's are some of the rejects from the project, but good photo's none-the-less.
I also downloaded the weekly freebie from
atomiccupcake.com which is an action that turns you photo's or elements into a cross stitch, so I tried using it, a very interesting result I believe !!
At the end of each year the school holds a presentation evening for students, parents and friends to attend. It finalises the years study for the children, and those that have exceeded are presented with Merit Certificates or Book Prizes. Zach is shown in the centre with his Headmaster, School Teacher and some of his friends.
My operation is done and I am on the road to recovery, I am doing much better than I had anticipated, obviously all those prayers on my behalf have worked a treat. I am walking with crutches, and I am feeling no pain at all, oh !!! the peace of no pain, how wonderful it feels.
Soon I will be back to scrapping I'm sure, but then again, I might be too busy walking around to sit on the computer working, who knows ? We'll see eh ? !!
My niece has just written a book (Never Alone - A Medium's Journey) and it was lauched at the Capitol Theatre on 2nd June 2009. I was unable to attend (naturally, I'm not walking that good yet !) so my daughter went instead. This is a photo taken of Debbie's proud parents, my brother and sister-in-law.

Another magnificent kit by
Numbbumm.blogspot.com !! (freebie as well, get yours by clicking the link !!)
Zach and his Dad along with the Scout Troop went for a Sunday Hike to Reid's Flats when they arrived they had a sausage sizzle and Malcolm took some of the scouts down to the river to teach them to fish. They all had a great day !!
Our darling cat Flo was being all girly and cute on the lounge chair, my daughter could not resist taking her photo. With a gorgeous kit made by Sue at
Numbbumm.blogspot.com I was able to create this lovely page !!
