My Tropical Paradise

After we built our swimming pool, there was nowhere to escape the heat, only in the water, but even here you needed to get out of the sunshine for a while, so we built a Pagola, and filled it with chairs and a table so we could sit and sip in the shade after a refreshing dip.

It looked pretty bare to me, so I hung some Stag horn and Elk horn plants around to make the Pagola look pretty. These plants have now taken over, we have to duck and weave to get inside without banging our heads (it reminds me of the movie "The Day of the Triffids".

The plants just seem to adore the conditions here and are thriving, these photos are of two of the plants but there are many many more all in the same condition. My palm trees are also reaching for the sky and dropping seeds everywhere, they are really happy as well.

It all makes my back yard like my own private resort, I couldn't wish for a nicer yard !!

Swimming Fun

Zach had a great day in the pool with his Uncle, they were shooting each other with Zach's Super Soaker Water Cannons, (a Christmas present from Grandad) at the end of the day he was so weary, I thought his eyes were going to fall into his skull !! Shower and off to bed with him, ready for the next days onslaught.

Zach's Lips

He was sitting playing Wii and I couldn't believe how red his lips were, I just had to photograph and scrap them, he will grow into a man before I know it, and these moments will be lost if I don't document them when I can.

Distant Cousin Fiona

Fiona married her man in England in September 08, she is a distant cousin of mine, but her photographs were so lovely I just HAD to scrap them.

A Happy Family

This is my only niece and her beautiful family, I love them all so much !

Christmas with Family

We celebrated Christmas for a few days to get around all our relatives, this LO is my children, my niece and I, we had a lovely meal and a delightful day (with deserts to die for ) !!

Santa Photo

I'm pretty certain this will be Zach's last photo with Santa, he is getting too old for such things now, but he was happy enough to indulge his Nanna for this last shot !!

Behind the Mask

This is an idea that I got from someone else, but what a great idea for a boy !! I just had to create my own version, Zach likes it as well, he just wishes I had used another photo without him in his Scout Uniform, but this was the best angle I had !!

Lisa is Expecting a Happy Event !!

Lisa was expecting her first baby (a boy) when this photo was taken. The baby was born at 8.21pm on the 2nd January 2009 he weighed 3.66 kilo and was 57cm long, he has yet to be named !! Good luck and Congratulations Lisa !!!!

To the Park

Bad Day

We all have days like this, it just seems that lately I am having more that just a few of them. This day things really got me down, but I have tomorrow to look forward to, hopefully with less pain !!

Flora & Fauna

I'm so proud of Zach wanting to grow flowers for his Mum, he is such a sensitive boy, and he did a great job of growing them as well. Ivan and I watered them occasionally, while he was at school, but it is really Zach that deserves all the credit for them.

He was extremely gently with this lizard that we found in the garden also, we had no idea that we could catch his beautiful colours with the camera, so this was a bonus shot.

Another LO of this special event, I mustn't leave precious Mum out of the equation.

Zach's 10th Birthday

I've made a terrible mistake with this LO, the Godfather's name is spelt wrongly, I tried to fix it but just can't find the font again, so I thought what the hell I'll leave it wrong. I did try to fix it, but after one and a half hours of going through fonts I gave up !!
So people it should read "Stuart" ok ?
